A Life In Film
Throughout my career as a designer and animator, I’ve moonlighted as a producer, production designer, art director, VFX artist, stuntman, director of photography—and, on occasion, a background corpse. Filmmaking has been a lifelong passion, and I thrive on the collaborative chaos it brings.
Over the years, I’ve worked on countless short films and three feature films: The Planet (2006) and One Day Removals (2009) with Stirton Productions, and Dark Highlands (2018) under my own banner. All written and directed by Scotland’s own answer to David Lynch, Mark Stirton.
So how does this help you get a better nightclub poster or a sharper product video? Simple: 30+ years of insane deadlines, creative firefighting, and solving problems no one’s ever seen before. Filmmaking turns you into a multi-skilled, battle-tested operator. It means you’re not just getting a 3D model of your canned drink—you’re getting one made by someone who’s handled international movie marketing... and has literally exploded for a shot.
